Trios Health X-Ray/CT Technologist Honored for Service, Commitment to Latino Community
April 8, 2022
Trios Health is pleased to share that Leslie Jimenez, an x-ray/CT technologist with Trios, has been recognized by the Tri-Cities League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Council with an award for her commitment to the Latino community.
Leslie was nominated for the honor by a former professor, who detailed her leadership and service to the community.
“Leslie is possessed with some of the fiercest determination I have seen in both military and civilian careers. She worked very hard and took additional classes in Spanish medical interpreting to make herself even more valuable while she worked at gaining entry into the medical imaging field,” the nominator wrote. “Her hard work paid off as she got accepted, graduated at the top of her class and served as the President of our Splitting Image club. She was paramount to the success the club had in serving the community by organizing several food drives, adopting families for Christmas, and maintaining a brutal schedule of instruction.”
Leslie continues to work with students at Columbia Basin College as a mentor and was honored during the “Noches de Leonas” (Night of the Lionness) event of the Tri-Cities LULAC Council on March 26.
“It’s an honor to be recognized as an inspiration in the Latina community, to be able to show that there’s no boundaries, and to be able to represent other Latinas within our community,” Leslie said.
