The Trios Pulmonary Rehabilitation program is designed to help anyone who has been diagnosed with a chronic lung disease such as asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema (pulmonary).

Trios Pulmonary Rehabilitation is an outpatient program designed to help lower the risk of future pulmonary problems, as a preventive measure or following diagnosis of a pulmonary condition.
Our program includes exercise and education components tailored to your:
- Individual medical history
- Current health status
- Symptoms
- Physical capability
The program typically takes place over a period of 12 weeks, with up to two one-hour sessions per week. However, since your program is designed specifically for your needs, this schedule may be modified.
Your pulmonary rehabilitation program includes:
Supervised Exercise
You exercise in a controlled environment with close monitoring of physical exertion, symptoms, blood pressure, and other heart activity.
The purpose of these sessions is to help you:
- Build aerobic capacity
- Get stronger
- Learn stretching and strengthening exercises
- Learn how to self-monitor for heart rate and activity level
Your progress is tracked over time as you build strength, gain confidence in your pulmonary capability, and learn how to adjust your exertion level to maintain safety while achieving optimal exercise.

You receive individualized counseling from an experienced nurse educator, who provides the information and tools necessary to make important healthy lifestyle changes, including:
- Smoking cessation
- Healthy eating
- Managing stress
- Properly taking medications
