Dysphagia: Swallowing Disorder
Swallowing is a complex process involving a variety of muscles and nerves that work in harmony for food intake and swallowing. People with dysphagia are unable to take in the proper nutrition. Left uncorrected, dysphagia can lead to improper hydration and nutrition, and aspiration pneumonia.
Trios Speech Therapy Services provides the services of modified barium swallow evaluations, vital stimulation, and therapeutic exercise programs to improve muscle coordination and reduce aspiration risks.

When you see a physician or receive services in a provider-based clinic, you are technically being treated in an outpatient department of the hospital rather than the physician’s office.
